NEW YORK — A new witness confirms the WTC power down on the weekend before 9/11.

Gary Corbett is a former employee of Fiduciary Trust Company International, a bank that occupied the 90th and the 94th to 97th floors of World Trade Center Two (the South Tower) and which lost 96 employees during the September 11 attacks. Corbett, who worked on the 97th floor, says there was a ‘power down’ on the week-end prior to September 11 for approximately 24 to 36 hours. During this period, he says, “there was a complete breakdown of security that weekend because of the power down.”

According to Corbett, the power down started on Friday night, at close of business and only came back on Sunday afternoon.

This corroborates the information by another former WTC employee, Scott Forbes who went public in 2004 to talk about this mysterious power down in the World Trade Tower 2. Forbes said they had been notified 3 or 4 weeks in advance by the Port Authority-NY/NJ about this power down and that it was “extreme and unprecedented.” He also said that “without power there were no security cameras, no security locks on doors and many, many ‘engineers’ coming in and out of the tower.”

To shutdown all of our financial systems, all inter-related and with connections and feeds to may outside vendors and suppliers was a major piece of work. Additionally, the power outage meant that many of the ‘ordinary’ building features were not operating, such as security locks on doors, cameras, lighting, etc.”

Scott Forbes says he “sent emails and letters to the 9/11 commission and the Port Authority of NY/NJ, without response“. This ‘power down’ event has never been investigated by the 9/11 Commission. We leave it to you to judge whether this should have been investigated by the 9/11 Commission, or not.

NBC’s “The Event” Probably Isn’t “The Event”

As of this writing, NBC’s new series, The Event, has not aired, although there certainly is a great buzz about the show among people interested in UFOs.

Even though the four minute trailer doesn’t explicitly mention UFOs or aliens, it’s not hard to imagine that, somehow, these themes are important to the series. The President learns of a deeply secret CIA operation dealing with “others” of some sort who are held in a secure base in Alaska. “So this is true,” he says, “this is all true.” He is brought to their location and meets their “leader.” He is going to hold a major press conference, but there is an attempt on his life. What is happening, according toThe Event’s Wikipedia entry, is “the biggest cover-up in U.S. history; a coverup which shapes the very core of mankind as a whole.”

Makes you wonder, for sure.

Other bloggers, such as Larry Lowe, have discussed their knowledge that The Event is UFO/ET related. I’ve also been quietly told by another researcher that this is indeed the case.

I learned about this show sometime during the summer. At that time, I talked about it with Bryce Zabel, my intrepid co-author of the upcoming A.D., After Disclosure: The People’s Guide to Life After Contact. Bryce and I had spent the spring and summer writing about what the world really will look like following the Disclosure of the UFO/ET reality here on planet Earth. So you can see why we would be especially interested in following this “event” for a major broadcasting network, especially since our own book is complete and due for release in late October.

With the release of a major television show based, it would seem, on something to do with a significant Earth-changing “event,” I can only reflect on what I think will be the real Earth-changing event.

That will be the Disclosure — whether by an American President or some other major public figure — of the reality of a non-human intelligence interacting with humanity. An intelligence that is connected to the UFO phenomenon, and that is, fundamentally, “not us.” They are “Others.”

This does not mean they are extraterrestrial, though of course they might be. Perhaps, too, these Others inhabit some other dimension of reality. Or maybe they are humans from another place or time. Or maybe something entirely different, or some combination of possibilities. Dealing with them, trying to understand them, was one of the key issues of our book, but by no means the only one.

As far as I can tell, what we have done is unique. Bryce and I have tried to peer into the future, into a world in which the UFO reality is fully and openly acknowledged. A future in which we recognize that at least some UFOs have been the product of an advanced intelligence not from our civilization.

Ask yourself: how would the open acknowledgment of such a truth affect our world? How would it affect you personally?

For most of this last decade, I have been lecturing on the challenges and opportunities presented by a true disclosure of the reality of UFOs. The topic fascinates me. But what I discovered is that it is a lot easier to talk about why UFO secrecy ought to end, than it is to glimpse the murky future of a post-disclosure world.

But here is what I think will happen. There will be a day when the truth — the big, big truth — does come out. Today is not yesterday, and tomorrow surely will not be today. By that I simply mean that our world is changing too fast. We cannot possibly expect that in the coming years we will perceive and understand reality as we do today.

Think about the radical nature of some of our newest shared technology. Such products as pervasive as smart-phones and YouTube have only been with us for about five years. Do we really think time will just stand still, in a 2010 holding pattern for the remainder of our lives? What new technologies and new capabilities will exist in 2015? Or 2025? Or 2050?

Is it possible that, at some point between now and then, we achieve a critical mass in what we know and how we know it? One that forces “The Powers That Be” into acknowledging the obvious? Yes, I think it certainly is possible. I would say it is likely.

What will that “Event” be? That real event, not the one made for television?

I’m pleased to present the first feature in my documentary series, entitled Psywar (“The real battlefield is the mind”). It premiered on Global Research and should be appearing on some other alternative news websites in the coming days.

The film explores the evolution of propaganda and public relations in the United States, with an emphasis on the “elitist theory of democracy” and the relationship between war, propaganda and class.

This is not a high budget affair, but was financed via a blue collar job, and is being released online for free. The interviews contained within are original and were conducted by proxy.

Although Psywar does not explore 911 or false flag operations, it is certainly relevant to these issues, as 911 was perhaps the greatest exercise in psychological warfare ever conceived. I intend to deal with the 911 and the war on terror in subsequent entries. A few notable 911 truth scholars do appear discussing related subjects, including Peter Phillips and Graeme MacQueen.

This film is designed both as an introduction to the concept of psychological warfare by governments against their citizens, and as an exploration of certain dominant themes in American propaganda. Significant time is also devoted to different conceptions of “democracy” as theorized by figures like Walter Lippmann, Edward Bernays and ultimately the founding fathers of the United States itself.

Grayson slams mosque ‘distraction’: Talk about admin that ‘let’ 9/11 happen instead

The debate over a planned Islamic community center several blocks from New York City’s World Trade Center site is a “distraction,” according to Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL).

Instead, the debate should shift in focus to an examination of the administration which “let it happen.”

‘It,’ of course, being the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The remark was made during a Friday appearance on MSNBC’s The Ed Show with former liberal talk radio host Ed Schultz.

“If we are going to talk about 9/11, why don’t we talk about how not so much the people who died on 9/11 were disgraced by the possibility of an Islamic athletic center several blocks away; how about the fact that they were disgraced by a president who let it happen?” he asked. “Who went on vacation for the entire month of August after he was warned in writing that Osama bin Laden was actually finding targets in NYC and learning how to take these planes and do terrible things with them? The thing itself said ‘hijacking’ and they did nothing about it.”

He called talk of the Islamic community center mere “distraction” from real issues facing Americans.

Unanswered questions

In its report on the devastating attacks, the 9/11 Commission wrote:

[President Bush] did not recall discussing the August 6 report with the Attorney General or whether Rice had done so. We have found no indication of any further discussion before September 11 among the President and his top advisers of the possibility of a threat of an al Qaeda attack in the United States. …Tenet does not recall any discussions with the President of the domestic threat during this period. Domestic agencies did not know what to do, and no one gave them direction. The borders were not hardened. Transportation systems were not fortified. Electronic surveillance was not targeted against a domestic threat. State and local law enforcement were not marshaled to augment the FBI’s efforts. The public was not warned.

In 2008, Philip Shenon, who covered the 9/11 Commission proceedings for the New York Times, published a book called, The Commission: The Uncensored History of the 9/11 Investigation, in which he revealed the uncomfortably close ties between the commission’s executive director, Philip Zelikow, and Bush advisers Karl Rove and Condoleezza Rice.

The following year it was revealed that the commission’s crucial chapters, detailing the planning and execution of the attacks, was sourced namely on information obtained through torture.

9/11 Commission members Thomas Kean and Lee H. Hamilton wrote that although US President George W. Bush had ordered all executive branch agencies to cooperate with the probe, “recent revelations that the CIA destroyed videotaped interrogations of Qaeda operatives leads us to conclude that the agency failed to respond to our lawful requests for information about the 9/11 plot.”

“Those who knew about those videotapes — and did not tell us about them — obstructed our investigation.”

They continued: “There could have been absolutely no doubt in the mind of anyone at the CIA — or the White House — of the commission’s interest in any and all information related to Qaeda detainees involved in the 9/11 plot.

“Yet no one in the administration ever told the commission of the existence of videotapes of detainee interrogations,” Kean and Hamilton wrote.

Just four days ago, two tapes that were supposedly destroyed, depicting the interrogations of a Sept. 11 suspect, were discovered under a desk at the CIA. Dozens of other tapes that captured the waterboarding and torture of other prisoners were allegedly destroyed.

In a 2006 telephone survey of 1200 individuals, just 47% agreed that “the 9/11 attacks were thoroughly investigated and that any speculation about US government involvement is nonsense.” Almost as many, 45%, indicated they were more likely to agree “that so many unanswered questions about 9/11 remain that Congress or an International Tribunal should re-investigate the attacks, including whether any US government officials consciously allowed or helped facilitate their success.”
