Aesir video of its prototype vertical take-off and landing unmanned aircraft, which uses the Coanda effect to generate lift by blowing air from a central fan over its curved surface. Aesir was formed to develop the UAV when original developer GFS Projects ran out of money – GFS stood for Geoff’s Flying Saucers, named after original designer Geoff Hatton. See www.aesir-uas.com
Hessdalen is a small valley in the central part of Norway. At the end of 1981 through 1984, residents of the Valley became concerned and alarmed about strange, unexplained lights that appeared at many locations throughout the Valley. Hundreds of lights were observed. At the peak of activity there were about 20 reports a week.
Project Hessdalen was established in the summer of 1983. A field investigation was carried out between 21.January and 26.February 1984. Fifty-three light observations were made during the field investigation. You may read the details in the technical report. There was an additional field investigation in the winter of 1985. However, no phenomena were seen during the period when the instruments were present.
Lights are still being observed in the Hessdalen Valley, but their frequency has decreased to about 20 observations a year. An automatic measurement station was put up in Hessdalen in August 1998. Both data and alarm-pictures can be viewed on this website.
Excerpts from the April 11, 2010 episode of The Paracast, where Nick Redfern, Greg Bishop and I joined host Gene Steinberg to talk about Mac Tonnies’ last book, The Cryptoterrestrials. In this clip, we talk about the similarities between religion and ufology, and the fundamentalist way of thinking that is found in each.
UFOs in WWII
First hour guest, author Keith Chester (book link) talked about UFO cases in WWII, such as the ‘Foo Fighters,’ fast moving glowing objects, which at the time US troops thought were operated by the Germans. The late researcher Leonard Stringfield believed the Foo Fighters were of ET origin, said Chester, who added that triangular craft, similar to what are seen today, were also observed during the War.
Jane’s Defence Weekly journalist and author of The Hunt For Zero Point, Nick Cook, investigates whether America’s billion dollar black budget might be responsible for UFO sightings in the Southwestern United States.
You can read a column I wrote about Nick Cook’s theory that “black projects” might be responsible for some UFO sightings here.
Mysterious Lights Over East El Paso
By Ben Swann – Main Anchor
Friday, October 15, 2010 – 10:26pm
Above the skies of Northeast and East El Paso, Friday night a sight that was a little more than stunning.
Video, captured by one of our photographers shows one solitary light that appears to be falling in the sky. That light suddenly breaks apart and into three separate lights.
Those lights then seem to freeze in the air and just hover.
Eventually a fourth light can be seen and the lights appear to be hovering around each other. Then they all disappear.
We are told that Airsho pilots were performing manuevers Friday night and the lights were likely part of that.
