HISTORY channel: The Universe – Alien Faces
December 3rd, 2008 by admin
I am so incredibly excited and proud to announce to you all that my episode of the Universe, entitled Alien Faces, will premier this Tuesday night, December 09th at 9:00pm! As the writer and director of the episode, I cannot type into words my enthusiasm about this show going on the air!
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of those who spent the time with me on the phone, helping me understand astrobiology, the theory of evolution, and ultimately assisting me in creating one of the best documentaries I have ever done. Those who took part played an integral role in getting this show done! Some of you receiving this notice were also recently interviewed for my newest show, still in the works for the Discovery Channel. I hope this episode excites you about the one you took part in! J
Motoshi Wakabayashi, my editor for the show, was extraordinary and deserves a special thanks! He saw my vision and ran with it, producing effects and excitement I never expected for the show. Our graphics team and conceptual artists worked tirelessly to create alien planets and creatures beyond our imagination, and in the end, brought them all to life!
To tease you all a bit, The History Channel has posted a promo for this show online, already generating excitement from fans of The Universe.
And below, you will find the synopsis for the episode to wet a bit of your appetite! Please, drop me a line and let me know what you think!
They soar through the heavens, fly through the oceans and glide along land. But these are not creatures found on a wildlife safari. These are life forms from another planet. Armed with scientific fact and a little imagination, experts come together to take you on an unprecedented journey to the edges of our imagination. Scientists, astrobiologists and astronomers create five lines of extraterrestrial evolution, and explain how creatures on the surface of Earth offer a helping hand to understanding life in The Universe.
Sincerely,
John Greenewald, Jr.
